The UNIJACK (TM) system, comprising the basic lifting unit with a variety of accessories, allows easy handling of heavy equipment. Orginally designed for scenic trucks on theatre stages, they can also be used for all types of industrial equipment, from machinery to workbenches, display cabinets and shop counters. All can be moved or braked with ease. The body of the unit is constructed with a 5 mm pressed steel body and is extremely strong.
Medium Duty Castor - UJA1
UJA1 is equipped with a 2" twin wheel castor and is suitable for most normal applications. It is recommended that it is fitted with a 10 mm (0.39") clearance between the castor and the floor so that the foot pedal is at the most effecient part of its travel as it starts to lift. This gives 24 mm (0.94") of ground clearance to the piece that you are moving. If very lightweight objects are to be moved then this clearance can be reduced giving a greater lift. The same size body is used on the UJA3 brake unit and the castors and brake feet are interchangeable. This unit can be ordered with the UJA5 and UJA6 lift off accessories.

Heavy Duty Castor - UJA2
UJA2 has the same internal mechanism as UJA1 but has a larger body to accomodate a 3" diameter castor and can therefore be used either with heavier loads or on uneven floor surfaces. The body of the unit is constructed of 5 mm pressed steel and is extremely strong. It is recommended that it is fitted with a 10 mm (0.39") clearance between the castor and the floor so that the foot pedal is at the most effecient part of its travel as it starts to lift. This gives 24 mm (0.94") of ground clearance to the piece that you are moving. UJA2 can also be supplied to special order with an extension hand lever and can be adapted to mount larger castors. The unit can also be ordered with the UJA5 and UJA6 lift off accessories.

Heavy Duty Brake Foot - UJA3
UJA3 has the same body as the UJA1 but is equipped with a heavy-duty rubber brake foot and is designed to hold in position a wheeled truck or wagon. The unit should be fitted so that the unit only lifts the wheels from the ground with a minimum of clearance. The recommended mounting positions are shown below and these will give a wheel clearance of 5 mm (0.02"). However the unit may be mounted at any height to suit your own application. The unit can also be ordered with the UJA5 and UJA6 lift off accessories.

Lift Off Accessories - UJA5 / UJA6
The illustration below shows the UJA5 lift off studs and safety catch and the UJA6 keyplate. These accessories enable any of the UNIJACK bodies to become removable or lift off items, useful where either space or possible theft is a problem.
