Samos - 78" Wide

Samos is made of flax fiber to create a strong, plain weave linen canvas. It is extremely durable and has a rather lustrous sheen. For many years linen canvas was used as a scenic covering because it was such an excellent painting surface and, if powdered paint pigments were used, could be washed over and over again. Today linen canvas is used as a floor cloth, as a dance surface, or, where long life and strength are necessary, as a covering for stage platforms. Available in natural or black, 78" wide (200 cm) by the yard or in bolt lengths of 65.5 yards (60 m).
